The Security Operations Manager will plan, establish, implement and provide coordinated management and direction in all aspects of security operations, procedures and policies to protect the staff, reputation, facility and other assets of the Chicago Cubs. More specifically, this role will be responsible for direct management of all Safety & Security staff and the execution of tactical, day-to-day security operations.


• Provide oversight and management of all day-to-day security operations at all owned and leased Chicago Cubs facilities
• Recruit, interview, hire, and regularly conduct performance reviews of Safety & Security associates
• Create and promote a positive and proactive work environment that mentors, guides, molds, and directs the safety and security team as a group towards the organizations operational goals
• Schedule, review and approve all shift personnel patrol activity reports, time and attendance, incident reports, etc., for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain sufficient records, files, controls and procedures to ensure management and work production
• Serve as the primary point of contact for associates when it comes to addressing safety and security concerns after normal business hours
• Implement policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for the protection of associates, intellectual property, products, operations and facilities from unauthorized disclosure, counterfeiting, piracy, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage or financial loss
• Train Safety & Security Staff on and ensure implementation of security and emergency response plans and procedures for all facilities
• Collaborate with the Event Operations team on security matters regarding all events held at Wrigley Field
• Collaborate with the Chicago Cubs Facilities Management team on the planning of facilities projects. Advise the Facilities Planning and Operations Department regarding security implications for new construction, in addition to building renovations
• Ensure effective coordination with law enforcement, fire, medical and other external emergency resources
• Ensure that all reports related to safety and security matters are submitted in a timely manner and that pertinent information is provided to other departments as required
• Monitor, inspect, and maintain the security systems at all locations. These would include CCTV, access control and radio communication

• 4-year accredited college degree, Security Management, Homeland Security, or Criminal Justice or seven (7) years of security work experience in a large institutional or governmental environment
• A minimum of five (5) years of force management and policy making experience in the security field
• Previous work experience in sports, hospitality, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, CPG or airlines
• Previous work experience preparing and managing operational budgets
• Excellent communication and administrative skills
• Strong ability to create and thrive in a team environment
• Attention to detail including excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time, pushing /pulling/carrying lifting may include up to 25lbs (event evacuation), stair climbing, sit, twist, turn, bend as required to perform duties within the facility
• This position is required to work shifts, must be able see, hear, and speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or other customers
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Valid driver's license and vehicle

• Military and/or Law Enforcement experience
• Guest Service experience
• Sports/Stadium Security experience
