ROLE
The Facilities Quality Control Lead is tasked with performing tasks focused on improving the Facilities Operations at Wrigley Field and on the surrounding campus. This role includes performing audits/inspections, the development and implementation of a Vehicle Management Program, dispatch desk responsibility, serving as the point of contact for major event quality control, and partnering with management for policy and process development.


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with the work group leads and independently to develop audit/inspection programs for specific components of the operation
• Assist in the development and execution of audit schedules
• Integrate technology to more efficiently conduct audit and produce user reports
• Assign out vehicles to approved users
• Assist in development of campus-wide vehicle use policies
• Assist in implementation of "Rules of the Road" around campus which includes installing signage, lanes, safety equipment, etc.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance, cleaning, parking, charging, fueling and overall use readiness
• Utilize effective communication on the radio to deploy Facilities staff and 3rd Party trades to need areas
• Monitor security cameras to proactively identify needs around the ballpark (i.e. spills, full garbage cans, trash on floors, etc.)
• Monitor weather radar and notifications to look for approaching precipitation, strong winds, etc. Manage the communication process to address weather issues.
• Monitor Big Belly trash notification system to monitor emptying needs around the ballpark
• Monitor historic scoreboard updates to ensure accuracy for game stats reporting
• Learn to perform key Facility functions that may be necessary during an event including:
o Restroom / Common Area Cleaning
o Restroom Supply Re-Stocking (Soap, Paper Towels, Trash Bags, Toilet Paper, etc.)
o Stanchion Setup
o Batting Cage / Machine Setup
o Field Setup (Softball Game, Clinic with Field Bases, etc.)
o Table / Chairs Setup
o Magnetometer Setup
• Establish self as Facilities Point-of-Contact to the Event Operations Team to handle any issues or needs that arise during major events
• Audit Event Needs Document to ensure all tasks are effectively completed prior to the event
• Job shadow work groups as work is being performed to document and photograph the process
• Formalize observation notes into a standard Policy & Procedure document and work with functional leads for review and approval


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Able to perform the following physical tasks: bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb flights of stairs, walk on uneven ground, walk/run up and down ramps, walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 20 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Demonstrated ability to address and problem solve.
• Demonstrated ability to disseminate and communicate unique personal interactions.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lead numerous projects in an effective manner.
• Must have the ability to effectively adapt to work environment that is in constant change due to weather.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Must be able to work nontraditional hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be available to work from February – November.


PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
• General equipment repair and maintenance knowledge.
• Associates degree from an accredited college.
• A passion for The Cubs and its unique history.
• Ability to thrive in a team setting and work under stress.
